We are looking for an exceptional senior engineer who will be a valuable member of our backend/core team.
Our product is used by thousands of drivers at hundreds of truck stops every day across the country. The API serves requests across our iOS and Android apps used by long haul truck drivers. In addition, our web app is used on tablets at our truck stop customers.
We have recently ventured into building some very interesting FinTech integrations and features. These are the first of their kind in the trucking and transportation industry, and we couldn’t be more excited about building an industry-leading product. So if this is an area of interest for you, this role could be a perfect fit.
Who we’re looking for
A senior/lead engineer who is hands-on and has built complex, large-scale, production-grade web apps and APIs using Ruby on Rails.
You have architected complex features and third party integrations, designed database schemas that stand the test of time, and have considerable experience building robust web applications.
You are proficient in developing in Rails, have strong fundamentals and experience with API design, and write clean, well-tested, maintainable code.
You like mentoring and guiding (and have done so previously) junior and mid-level developers with their work and like working with them to plan and design engineering solutions.
You understand that product development in startups is a fine art of balancing tradeoffs between shipping consistently without incurring too much carrying cost.
You genuinely care about your craft and are enthusiastic about bringing better practices to the teams you work on.
Rails 6+, Postgres, AWS, Swift/Kotlin (ios and android apps)
We’d love to hear from you if the above sounds interesting! Even if you feel you’re missing out on a couple of the requirements we’re looking for, please do reach out.
When you reach out, please include a note briefly summarizing your experience that is relevant to the role. We read every single application and are committed to get back with an initial response within 24h to 48h.
