We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to scale our BiblioWeb and BiblioEmail products. This is a role where you will be working on exciting challenges building PHP fullstack and Python backend applications while exercising your leadership skills to lead projects and provide mentorship. How you will make an impact: 
  • Building out our BiblioEmail marketing automation product which public libraries use to increase engagement. This product is primarily built in Python on AWS with integrations to other PHP applications.
  • Supporting our BiblioWeb product, a website builder for public libraries.
  • Take ownership for leading the design, development, and operationalization of features and systems
  • Lead projects end to end and collaborate with product, ux, qa and/or other stakeholders 
  • Be a mentor to junior and intermediate engineers   
  • Participate in code review, and best practice discussions

What you will bring to the team: 
  • 5+ years of software development experience 
  • Proven experience building PHP fullstack applications 
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript 
  • Strong knowledge of backend RESTful API applications 
  • Experience working with AWS
  • Strong debugging skills 
  • Knowledge of caching strategies and how to get the most out of them 
  • Have a mindset for end to end ownership of services 
  • Passionate, motivated, and capable of working autonomously  
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative across teams

Bonus Points for: 
  • Experience with WordPress development 
  • Experience with Python 
  • Understanding of web accessibility design patterns 
  • Docker, Ansible and/or Terraform knowledge
